OBITUARY: Arlin Hagen

    Arlin B. Hagen, 64, of Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, August 8, 2010 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.
    Arlin Burnet Hagen was born May 9, 1946 in Crookston, MN the son of Albert and Evelyn (Solie) Hagen. He grew up and attended school in Crookston and graduated high school from the North West School of Agriculture in Crookston.  Arlin served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967 during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged Arlin worked for J.R. Simplot for 35 years until retiring in 2005. During his employment there he received the Presidents Leadership Award in 1990. Arlin married Linda Noud on Sept. 10, 1965 in Crookston, MN. He married Shirley LaFountain on June 20, 1992.
    Arlin enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, golfing, horseback riding, recreational toys and especially time with his family, he was a „real pushover‰ as grandpa.
    Arlin is survived by: Wife: Shirley  - Grand Forks, ND, Mother: Evelyn Hagen- Willmar, MN, Children: Todd (Kayla) Hagen, Mandan, ND, Tammy (Mike) Reimler, Maple Grove, MN, Timothy Hagen and friend Mary, Wayzata, MN, Edward “Ardy” (Jenny) Forshen - Spokane, WA, Ricky LaFounatin and friend Shelly, Grand Forks, Kevin Forshen and friend Roxanne, Grand Forks, Sherry DeGuzman and friend Wiliam, New Orleans, LA, Sister: Ardis (David) Aaker, Willmar, MN, 24 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews
    Arlin was preceded in death by his father Albert.
    Funeral services will be Friday, August 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St, Grand Forks. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM in Amundson Funeral Home and also for one hour before the service in the funeral home.
