Rev. Daniel Noah, 87, of Crookston, Minnesota passed away at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center in Hallock, Minnesota on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Daniel A. Noah was born January 24, 1923 to Michael and Christine Noah. Daniel was ordained June 3, 1950. Fr. Dan served as assistant in St. Joseph, Red Lake Falls 1950-52; St. Andrew, Mentor 1950-51; and St. Mary, Red Lake Falls, from 1951-51. Chaplain, St. John’s Hospital, Red Lake Falls, 1951-52, assistant, St. Bernard, Thief River Falls, St. Anne, Goodridge, St. Clement, Grygla, St. Joseph, Middle River, 1952-54, St. Francis deSales, Moorhead, St. Elizabeth, Dilworth, St. Ansgar’s Hospital, Moorhead, St. Cecilia, Sabin, 1954-59. Pastor, St. Vincent, Plummer; St. Gertrude, Rhoda; St. Charles, Trail 1959-65. Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Fosston; St. Lawrence, Mentor 1965-1969. St. Stephen, Stephen 1969-1971. Sacred Heart, Frazee 1971-80. St. Mary, Euclid 1981-90. Chaplain, Villa St. Vincent, Crookston 1990-94. Fr. Dan retired on July 1, 1994.
He is survived by two brothers, Rev. Timothy Noah, Hallock and John (Mary) Noah, Fargo, ND; nephews and nieces, Judy Geatz, Thief River Falls, Patricia Langer, Edina, MN, Donna Thein, Cold Spring, MN, Anne Pierce, Eden Prairie, MN, Raymond Pierce, Crookston, Joanne Quinn, Seattle, WA, MaryPat Tiedemann, Twin Cities, Matt Noah, Lisa Harvey, David Noah, Paul Noah, Mark Noah, Dr. Tom Noah, Andrew Noah and Christopher Noah all of Fargo; grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Noah; sisters, Mary Noah, Veronica Horton, Lucille Pierce, Grace Tiedemann, Kathryn Noah, Mary Ann Noah and Patricia Noah; a nephew, Roger Horton and a niece, Christine Tiedemann.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Crookston, Minnesota. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Crookston. Bishop Michael Hoeppner, celebrant; Rev. Timothy Noah, concelebrant; Patricia Langer, organist. Casket bearers will be Michael Harvey, Phillip Langer, Timothy Noah, Andrew Noah, Mark Noah, Paul Noah, Thomas Noah and Raymond C. Pierce. Visitation will be held at the Cathedral on Monday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. The Austin Funeral Home of Hallock is in charge of arrangements.
