Agnes Kuzel, 93, formerly of East Grand Forks, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston MN. Agnes Mary Palchak was born September 12, 1918, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Mamrak) Palchak of rural Warren, MN where she attended school. She married James Kuzel on September 20, 1938 in Tabor. They farmed in Keystone and Tabor Township until retiring in 1973 to East Grand Forks, MN. They resided there until Jim passed away February 20, 2006. She worked at the Griffiths Store in Grand Forks and The White Mart Pharmacy in East Grand Forks. Agnes resided at the Villa St. Vincent until her death. She was an active member and officer of The National Catholic Order of Foresters Court 266 of Tabor. She was a choir leader and soloist of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Tabor in her earlier years.
She is survived by her son Dennis (Judy) of Crookston, MN, grandson Darin (Michele), her great granddaughter Shayla of Moorhead, MN, and her sister Helen Miska of Madison, WI.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, James, brothers, Elmer of Cleveland, OH, and Steve of Warren, MN; her sister Mary Taus Larson of Crookston; two infant grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectively asks that memorials be given to the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home, Crookston, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, MN.
Visitation: One hour prior to Funeral Services in Sacred Heart Catholic Church
