The Humane Society of Polk County, Inc., is looking for people willing to volunteer at the shelter Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5 p.m., and is also looking for volunteers on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The work includes helping customers look at the animals and helping with the adoption process. It also includes answering the phone and preparing the cats and dogs for bed.
