Seven “listening sessions” across Minnesota are being held in advance of a Dec. 13 summit in the Twin Cities, and they’re all designed to help the Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council figure out how best to educate today’s and tomorrow’s students of all ages for a future that’s going to demand their expertise in a variety of disciplines, in agriculture and elsewhere. “That’s what it’s all about,” said UMC’s Lyle Westrom, in the wake of Wednesday’s MAELC listening session at UMC.
About 30 local and area leaders attended the event, which involved four breakout sessions. “Every idea will be taken to the Summit Connecting Ag,” Westrom said.
