A Grand Forks man is in custody in Crookston, charged with breaking into RiverView Clinic’s East Grand Forks last weekend and stealing drugs.
Alex Rodriguez, 22, is charged with second degree burglary.
The incident was reported about 20 minutes before midnight on Friday, Jan. 20. Crookston-based RiverView Health’s East Grand Forks clinic is located at 1428 Central Ave. NE, off Highway 220 North. The manager of a car wash located next to the clinic was the first to notify police because a vehicle that was later determined to be Rodriguez’s was left in one of the car wash stalls.
Rodriguez is accused of breaking a window, likely with a rock, to gain access to the clinic, where he allegedly filled garbage bags with drugs that he found inside.
Rodriguez’s criminal history includes several drug-related crimes, and he’s on probation.
