MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) — A Montana truck driver is hospitalized after he was stabbed multiple times at an Interstate 94 rest area on the east edge of Moorhead.
Moorhead police Lt. Jim Nielsen says the assault happened Sunday and was still under way when police arrived. Fifty-one-year-old Dale Morigeau (MORE’-ah-joe) of Ronan in western Montana, was taken to Innovis Health in Fargo, N.D.
He underwent surgery Sunday. Officials did not release details of his condition.
A 32-year-old man from Alberta, Canada, was arrested, and had to be subdued with a Taser. Charges are expected today. Nielsen says both men are professional truck drivers and authorities were still looking for a motive.
The rest area was closed for several hours while authorities investigated.
