Last semester the International Office at the University of Minnesota, Crookston held a special "A Day Without Shoes" event. Many pairs of shoes were donated and money was collected to send shoes to Africa.
A couple of weeks ago, Rae French, coordinator of study abroad, brought the money and shoes to the Twin Cities to donate them to "Making a Difference International."  The shoes will be shipped to Africa, where Funwi Tita from "Making a Difference International" will personally distribute them.
"Thank you to everyone who made a donation," French said. "After visiting with Funwi Tita and hearing his story, it's amazing what we all can do to make a difference."
