A two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning on Crookston’s north end sent one driver to the hospital and resulted in one citation. At 9 a.m. at the intersection of Fisher Avenue and Sahlstrom Drive (behind the Dairy Queen), according to Crookston Police, Roland Brule of Red Lake Falls, driving the 2005 Ford pickup on the right in the photo, collided with a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus, driven by Anna Ogaard of Maple Grove. Brule subsequently struck a tree. Both vehicles were totaled. Ogaard was taken by Crookston Area Ambulance Service to RiverView Health, and Brule was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
