The Census Bureau estimated that Crookston had 7,836 residents in 2007, and had 7,790 residents in 2008. Below are the estimates of other area cities.
As for two other area cities that Crookston is often compared to, East Grand Forks’ population rose from 7,769 in 2007 to 7,821 in 2008, and Thief River Falls over that same period gained seven people, going from 8,465 to 8,472.
