FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State University officials say they are cleaning manure out of a drainage ditch after a temporary pump broke down.
The pump was moving manure from a university dairy barn into a designated lagoon. A dairy barn worker discovered the spill on Monday.
NDSU officials say the temporary pump was installed after the main pump malfunctioned. The state Health Department is investigating.
