Complaint On July 7, East Grand Forks police officers stopped Deleon after receiving a call that he was in a woman's car without permission. He failed field sobriety tests and his blood alcohol level was .16. A search of his vehicle found the sleep aid Ambien prescribed to another person.
Criminal history Deleon has more than 20 criminal convictions dating back to 1979, including approximately 17 alcohol-related traffic offenses. He was sentenced to 66 months in prison, with five years conditional release, for a 2005 conviction of first-degree DWI in Polk County. His license had been suspended and revoked several times in both Minnesota and North Dakota for DWI and refusal to submit to testing convictions.
Deleon has also been convicted of felony aggravated robbery, first-degree criminal sexual conduct and twice for failure to register as a sex offender.
