Criminal complaint On Nov. 9, 2009, East Grand Forks Police officers were called to the River Cinema, where the manager said a man in one of the theaters was acting very strange. A retired policeman said he saw the man snorting a white substance in the bathroom.
Davis said he was on probation in North Dakota and consented to a search by officers. He first threw a cup in the garbage, which one of the officers promptly retrieved. The cup contained a bag with white powder inside, which Davis said was Lorcet (hydrocodone). While he was at the theater, two men called to sell him 15 pills for $120. Davis said he used the drug daily, whenever he could, and snorted it regularly.
The burglary charge stems from an April 9 incident in East Grand Forks, when Davis and an accomplice were arrested after the accomplice entered a home. The men had been walking around the city, attempting to open doors to homes, when they found one unlocked. A neighbor spotted them and called the police.
