Alerus Center in the red but ahead of budget

    GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The Alerus Center in Grand Forks is in the red at the half-year mark but ahead of budget projections.
    The city-owned center reports being in the red by $158,000 as of the end of June. Officials had anticipated being behind by $206,000. Revenues were lower than budgeted but expenses also were lower.
    At this time last year, the facility was behind by $257,000.
