A Grafton man convicted of selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant has been sentenced to more than three years in prison.

Carlos Alberto Delgado Jr. received a seven-year sentence Tuesday in Grand Forks County District Court. Half of that time was suspended.

Delgado, 22, got $1,800 from an informant May 26 for a half ounce of meth he had given the informant three days earlier. Court documents indicate that Delgado also fronted the informant another quarter ounce of meth.

Delgado allegedly sold the same informant another ounce of meth and agreed to deliver him more.

Delgado pleaded guilty in December to delivery of methamphetamine and conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine. In exchange for his guilty plea, authorities dropped two charges of delivery of meth.
