The “primitive” ice-skating rink in Wildwood Park in the Woods Addition is ready for skaters to try out, Parks & Recreation Director Scott Riopelle tells the Times.

After crews moved snow to create sort of a bank around the rink, it has been flooded over several days, and Riopelle said recent temperatures have been favorable for maintaining ice.

A wide walking path has been cleared from the street to the rink as well.

Riopelle says the outside borders need to be built up a bit more with snow, but that if skaters want to give the rink a try, they can.
