Debra Warner, District Governor of International Rotary District 5580, recognized Donald Cavalier for serving from 2014-18 as membership chairperson for District 5580 at the Year-End District Conference in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

    Don has been a Rotarian since 1991 serving as Crookston’s Club President in 2005-2006, District 5580’s District Governor Nominee-2010, District Governor Elect-2011 and District Governor-2012.

    “Don has done an exceptional job as District Membership Chairperson for the past four years.” Warner said. “He continues to build Bridges of Goodwill and better Friendships in Rotary District 5580.  

    “The membership chairperson is responsible for managing the District‘s Membership Committee which is composed of the alumni chairperson, Club Extension Chairperson, Member Benefits, Member Recruitment and Member Retention for the 66 Clubs of the District,” Warner continued. “The vision of the District and the Membership Committee is to increase our attractiveness to our prospective members as well as engage our existing members, thereby helping each member become an active Rotarian. The District and 66 clubs continue to grow because of Don’s commitment and hard work to recruiting new member and founding two new Rotary clubs in the District.

    “Thanks Don, In recognition and great respect for your tireless commitment, vision and exceptional leadership as District 5580 Membership Chairperson, you are greatly appreciated by the 2,884 Rotarians of International District 5580,” Warner concluded.
