Up to 5 inches could fall
This fall season insists on being cut shorter than usual. On the heels of last week’s early dusting of snow, winter is looking to make a more obvious early arrival Wednesday into Thursday in Crookston and the surrounding region.
Three to five inches of snow is expected late tonight into Wednesday night. Tonight, light rain is expected to turn into a rain and snow mixture after midnight. Light snow will fall on Wednesday morning possibly mixed with light rain, and when it’s all over up to five inches of heavy, wet snow could be on the ground..
It’ll be breezy, too, with north winds of around 25 miles per hour, making travel difficult.
The National Weather Service has issued only a “special weather statement” at this point, and no winter weather advisories or winter storm watches or warnings have been issued yet.
