The Polk County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Fisher High School Wednesday afternoon just before school let out on a report of an adult female allegedly heading to the school with a weapon to pick up her children. The school subsequently went on lock down during the early stages of the investigation and deputies later located and interviewed both the reporting party and the suspect in the city of Crookston.

Deputies say the suspect did not possess any weapons when she was located and she denied ever making any threats towards Fisher High School, its staff or any children.

Law enforcement says there is no credible threat to Fisher High School students or staff at this time.

The investigation remains active and ongoing, and the Crookston Police Department is assisting.
