She’s a junior at Crookston High School

This week, the Crookston Daily Times welcomes Crookston High School junior Anna Huck as their new student writer and photographer.  Anna is the oldest daughter of Philip and Vicki Huck, her younger sister Olivia plays soccer, is on the track team and is currently a freshman at CHS.

Anna is involved in CHS’s Student Council, the school’s Theatre Department, the Knowledge Bowl team, Riverwatch, Pop Choir and more. Outside of school, she is the treasurer of the Crookston Youth Foundation and the vice president of Polk County’s North Star 4-H club. When she isn’t at practice, a meeting, or at school, you can find her at home with her family or hanging out with her close group of friends.

Right now, Anna is looking into many different career fields for a future that she has not yet figured out. She doesn’t know where she wants to go to college, but she has a long list of schools she would like to attend.

Anna is excited to work with the Times and to grow as a writer and photographer. She looks forward to learning more about Crookston and the smallest daily newspaper in Minnesota.

Huck is joining the Times newsroom as part of an independent study curriculum that will have her earning academic credit at CHS. She will be jointly supervised by Times Managing Editor Mike Christopherson and CHS English teacher Jen Solie.
