It maintains its ‘calming charm’

As part of their clinic expansion that added over 7,000 square feet of space to the existing footprint, Altru in Crookston has moved and renovated their Infusion room to make it more accommodating for families and add more privacy while keeping the same calming charm.

They have added two additional patient areas, an enclosed room with a bariatric chair for someone who is not feeling well or is infectious, and enhanced the atmosphere with decor like the frosted glass windows that compliment the natural light coming from the windows in the new space. The infusion room will also be getting five brand-new chairs with heated seats.

“We have received donations from families of people who have had treatment here to help with our renovations,” said Altru’s Alana Wagner, RN. “It’s more open, but we have more privacy and are still cozy and comfortable.”

Treatment days for infusions or chemotherapy are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dr. Walsh is available every Tuesday and Dr. Okoro is there every fourth Monday.
