Hoffman comes to Crookston from California

    John Hoffman, Ph.D., the new vice chancellor for academic and student affairs, has officially started in his position at the University of Minnesota Crookston.

    He comes to the U of M Crookston from California State University, Fullerton, where he has served as chair of the Department of Educational Leadership since 2013 and as director of the Doctor of Educational Leadership Program since 2012.

    Hoffman has been meeting faculty, staff, and students as well as members of the Crookston community during his first weeks on the job. He says he is especially looking forward to meeting students as they come to campus for the start of fall semester. Classes begin Tuesday, August 21.

    Hoffman succeeds Barbara Keinath, who’s retiring.
