Walls, ceilings get updates, along with new tile floor, dishwasher and sinks

The Crookston Eagles Aerie 873 have been hosting burger basket Mondays for a handful of years and they’re now making them from an almost-brand-new kitchen.

Earlier this summer they made some updates to the kitchen walls and ceilings, installed a new tile floor, and added a new dishwasher and sinks.

This week, Eagles Aerie past presidents Randy Beggs and Weasel Henry were busy flipping burgers and boxing-up orders for the seemingly always-busy crowd of people that flood the club on Mondays.

“Besides burger Mondays, we host weddings and an Aerie dinner every Saturday there’s not an event,” Henry told the Times. “The Ladies Auxiliary does a good job running the kitchen.”

Eagles member Carl Melbye says Beggs will be the state president in 2020 when the Eagles host their state convention in Crookston. The Eagles has been collaborating with the Crookston Inn & Convention Center in getting ready for the big event.
