That’s officially a handful for the Crookston High School Envirothon team, which on Wednesday at Rydell National Wildlife Refuge near Erskine punched its ticket to the state tournament for the fifth straight year.

Coach/advisor Wes Hanson says the top three finishers out of more than 20 teams advanced, and the CHS team took second place with 96 points. They were sandwiched by two teams from Waubun, which took first and third, respectively, with scores of 101.5 and 93.5 points.

The state Envirothon competition will take place May 21 in Slayton.
