After school was cancelled Monday due to the winter storm, the start of classes on Tuesday was delayed by two hours, mostly to give the buses extra time to get around, and to provide enough time to clear the parking lots and entrances at the schools.

Overnight Monday into Tuesday, City of Crookston Public Works crews, private snow movers, business owners and residents faced a rather unusual snow, ice and slush clean-up effort in the wake of Sunday evening’s rain and thunderstorm that gave way to a snowy Monday.

In addition to pushing, shoveling and blowing snow, there was a need to scrape and chop Tuesday morning.
