Five-day break coming up for students
Teachers, staff and administrators are hoping for a big turnout of parents Wednesday evening and all day Thursday this week, when parent-teacher conferences will take place.
Conferences will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday. If you have a student at Washington or Highland school, you’re encouraged to contact the school to make a conference appointment with your child’s teacher. The number at Washington is 281-2762; at Highland, it’s 281-5600. At Crookston High School, parents can come and go throughout the entire conference schedule and meet with their child’s teachers on a walk-in basis.
“We’re excited to have a lot of parents come in and we look forward to talking to them,” said Washington Principal Denice Oliver.
Kids have a full day of school on Wednesday prior to the start of conferences. There will be no school on Thursday or Friday, Thursday because of conferences and Friday due to a staff development day. They also have no school on Monday, Feb. 19 because of Presidents’ Day.
