The University of Minnesota has issued an alert about a "public safety situation" at the Graduate Minneapolis Hotel on campus.
The hotel's general manager Andy Alrich says there's an active investigation going on, but that he can't comment further. The university tweeted that East Bank roads near the hotel were temporarily closed, as well as the recreation and wellness center.
The university did not immediately respond to a message for additional details.
Minneapolis Police Sgt. Darcy Horn said she was checking on the situation, but had no immediate information.
