The man's identity has not yet been released.

    A rear-end crash Tuesday evening on U.S. Highway 2 east of Crookston in Kertsonville Township of Polk County killed a 31-year-old East Grand Forks man driving a plumbing and heating truck. His identity had not been released by the Minnesota State Patrol as of press time Wednesday.

    The call came in around 7:15 p.m. on Highway 2, east of Polk County Highway 44. The State Patrol says that a 1974 Ford F45 tractor truck was eastbound, driven by David Allen Neset, 55, of Fosston, with a passenger, Leslie James Neset, 64, of also of Fosston. The 2005 plumbing truck, make and model unknown, was also driven eastbound by the East Grand Forks man. The truck struck the Ford from behind.

    Both Nesets suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to RiverView Health in Crookston.

    The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Crookston Police and Crookston Fire departments responded to the scene.
