Alleged assault took place Oct. 9 at gas station in Biwabik

A Crookston man was arrested Wednesday after a Minnesota Department of Corrections warrant was issued in early October for armed robbery allegedly involving a hatchet in eastern Minnesota.

Anthony T. Wagoner, 33, was arrested by Crookston Police at an apartment complex on Barrette Street with assistance from the Pine to Prairie Violent Crimes Enforcement team and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

According to court documents, on October 9, Wagoner allegedly entered a gas station in Biwabik, Minnesota, which is near Duluth, and demanded money.

Crookston Police Chief Paul Biermaier said that Wagoner did not resist in any way and no one was injured in the arrest Wednesday. Wagoner is currently incarcerated at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center.
