Peterson has worked with the “Make a Difference” program for 20 years and has donated her time to make meals for the DAV, Care and Share and the National Guard Armory.

Mercy Peterson donated and served a meal Thursday at VFW Post 1902 for the Crookston Disabled American Veterans group.

Peterson has worked with the “Make a Difference” program for 20 years and has donated her time to make meals for the DAV, Care and Share and the National Guard Armory.

She has also given flowers to Gold Star mothers, American mothers who lost sons or daughters in service of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Peterson said Thursday’s meal was the fourth gathering at the VFW with the Crookston DAV, and she will be helping with the Christmas Party, too.
