Chamber committee witnesses many efforts to beautify the community in 2017

    The Crookston Chamber Beautification Committee recently completed Round 2 of judging for presentations of businesses landscaping and store fronts, and public institutions or churches. The final round will happen during the weekend’s activities.

    “The Crookston Area Chamber would like to thank all of those who have made Crookston beautiful during the spring and summer of 2017 through the Adopt-a-Planter and Adopt-a-Basket programs, the business awards program and One Vegetable One Community,” said Chamber executive director Amanda Lien. “One Vegetable One Community is also wrapping up their pepper season and encourage the community to nominate their business of choice by sending photos to info@visitcrookston.com to be awarded the Crookston OVOC traveling trophy.”

    “A special thanks to the 6th Street Garden neighborhood and Ed Amiot for their work beautifying this entrance to Crookston,” she added. “Also to the City of Crookston, the Parks & Recreation staff and intern, and work initiated by Kristi Thorfinnson for the new and beautiful entrance to Central Park enjoyed throughout the summer months.”
