King of Trails Marketplace and City-Wide Garage Sales will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9 in Crookston.

Crookston’s event will be one of many held that day along Highway 75’s 411-mile route, promoted as “400 miles of great bargains.”

Highway 75 was designated as the Historic King of Trails by the Minnesota Legislature in 2002, and designated as a Minnesota Scenic Byway in 2004. The King of Trails Scenic Byway is the newest such byway in the state.

Due to popular demand the King of Trails Committee is bringing back the Marketplace to Downtown Square. The Farmer’s Market and artists, crafters and vendors will be set up from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will be sharing Downtown Square with the Chalk It Up event.

Organizers want lots of garage sales taking place throughout town. Maps will be provided to the public with the addresses of the garage sales along with hours of operation. They will be distributed at Downtown Square as well local gas stations. The market will be promoted throughout the region.

There is no charge to list your garage sale. Just call or e-mail the Chamber office with your information. To get your sale listed or for more information, contact the Crookston Chamber & Visitor’s Bureau at skegler@visitcrookston.com or 281-4320.
