Part-Time Job Expo to be held Aug. 21 in UMC Wellness Center; register by Aug. 14

Hey, Crookston employers: The first-ever Campus and Community Part-Time Job Expo held at the University of Minnesota Crookston on Monday, August 21 will be a great opportunity to find reliable part-time employees for your business.  This event is meant to help employers to find part-time employees and also college students ind part-time jobs.

The event will be held in UMC’s new Wellness Center from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Aaron Meyer, director of Career Development at UMC, who is organizing this event, says that he wants to help students find part-time employment opportunities while pursuing their education at UMC, but also says "I want to do what I can to help our community, and, in this case, that is by helping our local employers fill their part-time employment positions."

Employers can register for the event by August 14 by contacting Aaron at 281-8585 or acmeyer@crk.umn.edu.

"Oftentimes it can be difficult for both sides, with students knowing where to look for opportunities, as well as employers finding students who are looking,” Meyer said. “My hope with this event is to create a convenient  ‘one-stop-shop’ for both our students and community employers to connect."
