Minnesota State Mankato Dean's List
The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean's lists) for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Marilyn Wells. Students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List, and to qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester. These students included Jordan Bengtson (Civil Engineering) and Samuel Brule (Computer Engineering Technology) of Crookston.
Bemidji State University Dean's List
Students hailing from Crookston earned Dean's List honors from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn., including Andrew Biermaier, Mickayla Johnson, Forrest LaPorte-Lewis, and Karlee Meyer at the conclusion of the Spring 2017 semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, BSU students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a 3.5 GPA during the semester.
Benedictine College Dean's List
Benedictine College has recognized those students who have distinguished themselves academically during the last semester. Miriam Walski of Crookston was named to the Dean's List for the spring semester, which ended in May. To make the Dean's List, a student must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours and a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the semester
This spring, many students from Crookston graduated from UND, including Sheri Altepeter (MS), Sara Anderson (BFA Cum Laude), Stephanie Bjorgo (MS), Carter Denison (BBA), Katie Engelmann (MS), Lauren Graham (DPT), Chanel Myers (PHD), Jake Perrine (BSCE), Curtis Regan (BSKIN), Tori Rhode (BSN Magna Cum Laude), Danielle Tate (BA). Matthew Sorenson (BS Cum Laude) from Fisher also graduated.
University of Wisconsin-Madison Graduates
More than 7,000 students received degrees during the University of Wisconsin-Madison's spring commencement ceremonies, May 11-12, 2017, including Erica Samuelson of Crookston with a Bachelor of Science-Kinesiology degree.
University of Minnesota Twin Cities Dean's List
Students have been named to the 2017 spring semester Dean's List at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, including Daniel Davidson of Crookston. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average.
Tiffany Hanson of Crookston is the recipient of a $2,000 Brothers Scholarship renewable for three years, from The Heritage Group Scholarship Fund. Brothers Scholarships are awarded each year to outstanding students who intend to enroll at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Tiffany plans to attend University of North Dakota in the fall of 2017. Students may apply to the Brothers Scholarship Program if their parent is employed by The Heritage Group. The Brothers scholarship recipients are chosen by Scholarship America based on their financial need, academic records and personal achievements. Tiffany is the child of Joshua Hanson, a Calumet Superior, LLC. employee located in Crookston. Calumet Superior, LLC. is a Heritage Group company.
University of Northwestern-St. Paul Dean’s List
Samuel Miller of Crookston, son of Mark and Kari Miller, was named to the spring 2017 semester Dean's List at University of Northwestern - St. Paul. The Dean's List includes full-time students with a grade point average (GPA) during the semester of 3.65 (out of 4.0) or higher.
