At the Polk County Fair in Fertile, Linnea French of Crookston, daughter of George and Rae French, won a pleasure trip and tied with Gretchen Theis, also of Crookston, for all around.

At the Polk County Fair in Fertile, Linnea French of Crookston, daughter of George and Rae French, won a pleasure trip and tied with Gretchen Theis, also of Crookston, for all around.

She earned blue ribbons in most of her classes such as showmanship, pleasure, horsemanship, trail, and English pleasure. She also got the top junior 6th grade to 8th grade in times events such as poles, barrels, key hole.

“She ended up having a ton of fun and she learned a lot,” her mom says.

Linnea also earned purple ribbons for “grand champion” and qualifies for Minnesota State fair classes, which she can participate in when she goes in mid-September.

Also earning trips with their horses were Bailey Bradford, Kim Gilbertson, Gretchen Theis, and Jarrod Theis.
