Accident takes place Sunday night east of Crookston

    A Crookston man suffered injuries described by the Minnesota State Patrol as “non-life threatening” when the motorcycle he was driving in Polk County struck a deer Sunday night.

    The State Patrol got the call at 10:49 p.m. Sunday. According to their report, Michael John Seaweard, 52, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 2 in Grove Park/Tilden Township, east of Minnesota Highway 32, on a 2003 Harley Davidson when he struck the deer.

    He was taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

    According to the report, Seaweard was not wearing a helmet.
