Funds will be invested in new nurse/patient communications system

What’s better than a beautiful day on the golf course for a good cause?

That’s exactly what Monday, June 12 proved to be for participants of the 13th Annual RiverView Foundation Golf Classic with proceeds going toward a Nurse/Patient Call System at RiverView Health.

About $33,500 was raised for the communication and workflow nurse-to-patient call system that will be installed throughout the Crookston RiverView Campus (Inpatient Unit, Emergency Department, Same Day Surgery and the Care Center).  The RiverView Foundation Board of Directors has committed $325,000 to support the patient focused critical need.
To date, the Golf Classic has brought in over $320,000 in its 13 year history to fund priority projects at RiverView Health.

The top team for the day was made up of Brad Brekken, Bremer Bank; Sheldon Emil, Liberty Business Systems; Ryan Kill, State Farm/Ryan Kill Agency; Dylan McDaniel, Brady Martz and Associates; and Jim Noah, Noah Insurance.

Crystal Maruska and Jim Noah won the longest putt contest; Carrie Bergquist and Jim Lehman won the closest to the pin competition; Brandy Chaffee won the women’s driver as a door prize and Curt Aamot won the men’s driver.

The Foundation Board would like to thank everyone who made the event possible, especially the major sponsors: Dr. Colin and Lorianne Fennell, C.L. Linfoot Co., Glen and Marlys Finkenbinder, New Horizon Foods, Hugo’s Family Marketplace, Invest Forward, Thrifty White Pharmacy, Hanratty/USI Insurance Services LLC, Altru Health System, HGA Architects and Engineers, Lunseth Plumbing and Heating Co., and Consulting Radiologists Ltd.
