A Jamestown man whose wife tipped off authorities has pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child pornography.

Authorities say the wife of 55-year-old Alexander McManus reported finding a cellphone containing child porn wedged behind a refrigerator. They say McManus also had other devices in his home with child porn, including a flash drive hidden beneath his bedroom mattress.

U.S. Attorney Chris Myers says McManus possessed thousands of sexually explicit photos of children, some as young as 2.

McManus pleaded guilty in federal court in Fargo on Monday. He'll be sentenced later.
