M-State President's List

    Minnesota State Community and Technical College has named Isaac Morales of Crookston to its President's List for the 2017 Spring Semester. To earn this award for scholastic achievement, a student must complete 12 or more college-level credits for the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

UMC Chancellor's List

    Students named to the spring semester 2017 Chancellors List were announced recently by the Office of the Registrar, including Yuxiang Hu, Zachary Kozitka, Cassandra Morthera Navarrete and Angela Oien of Crookston, and Adam Mcdonald and Seth Wagner of Fisher. The U of M Crookston is one of the most respected career-oriented, technology-based universities in the nation.

UMC Dean's List

    To qualify for a place on the Deans List, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded (A-F) credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average. Students  named to the spring semester 2017 Deans List at the U of M Crookston included Elizabeth Awender, Adam Burgess, Tyler Corrier, and Shaylin Goodrich of Crookston, and Jeremy Deitz of Climax.

M-State Graduates

    Kazmir James Adams and Roman Dean Adams of Crookston were among the 860 who graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena during commencement ceremonies in May.
UMD Dean's List

    The University of Minnesota Duluth has announced its Dean's List for Spring Semester 2017. Students on the Dean's List, including Carly Welter of Crookston, have achieved a GPA  of 3.5 or higher.

Miriam Walski Graduates from Benedictine College

    Miriam Walski of Crookston, MN was part of the largest graduating class in the 159 year history of Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan. Walski earned a BA in Liberal Studies.

Spring 2017 Graduates of UMC

    The Office of the Registrar at the University of Minnesota Crookston recently announced its list of spring semester 2017 graduates, including Michael Beiswenger, Tyler Corrier, Amber Edblom, Andreas Geist, Yuxiang Hu, Dong Liu, Imran Mahmud, Angela Oien, Bichen Qian, Ke Song, Chen Wang, Joseph Wodarek, Zhiwei Xu, Yaqing Zhou, Ruqian Zhu, and Megan Brault of Crookston, and Jeremy Deitz of Climax.

NCTC President's List

    The President's List for students earning academic honors for the spring 2017 semester at Northland Community and Technical College - East Grand Forks and Thief River Falls has been released. Students must have at least 12 earned credits as of the last day of the semester and a semester grade-point average of 3.75 to 4.0 must be achieved to be eligible for the Northland Community and Technical College President's List. These students included JayDee Bach of Climax, Bradley Gartner and Bruce Reichert of Crookston, and Christopher Rohlting of Fisher.

NCTC Dean's List

    The Dean's List for students earning academic honors during the spring 2017 semester at Northland Community and Technical College - East Grand Forks and Thief River Falls has been released. Students must have at least 12 earned credits as of the last day of the semester and a semester grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.74 must be achieved to be eligible for the Northland Community and Technical College Dean's List.  These students included Caitlyn Cournia, Lauren Grenier, Matthew Grove, Amber Johnson, Samantha LaCoursiere, Connor Morgan, Bethany Newquist, and Jacob Roesch of Crookston.

UND Dean's List

    More than 1,300 students were named to the Deans List for the 2017 Spring Semester at the University of North Dakota, including Abbie Anderson, Nicole Plante, and Tori Rhode of Crookston, and Michaela Burstad, Eric Ness, Blake Sorenson, Matthew Sorenson, and Wendy Sorenson of Fisher.  The Deans List comprises students whose grade point average are in the top 15 percent of the enrollment in each of the University's degree granting colleges and schools. A student must have completed no fewer than 12 semester hours of academic work for the semester, of which eight or more hours must be graded work rather than "satisfactory/unsatisfactory."

UND Presidents Honor Roll

    More than 1,000 students were named to the University of North Dakota Roll of Honor for the 20127 Spring semester, including Ty Klein, Eric Ness, Blake Sorenson, and Wendy Sorenson of Fisher, and Nicole Plante of Crookston. To qualify for the UND President's Roll of Honor, a student must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.80 or higher. The student must also have earned a minimum of 30 semester hours and have completed a minimum of 12 hours at the close of the semester, eight of which must be fore traditional letter grades.

Concordia Graduates

    Rosa Argueta and Alec Boike of Crookston graduated this spring from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.  Rosa Argueta majored in Elementary Education, and Alec Boike majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry and received the Cum Laude honor.
    
NDSCS President's Honor List

    The North Dakota State College of Science has named 389 students to its spring semester 2017 President’s Honor List. The Honor List recognizes students who have achieved grade point averages of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credits with letter grades. The honorees include Minakshi Arya of Crookston.

NDSU Dean's List

    Area Minnesota students were among the 3,808 North Dakota State
University students to be placed on the spring 2017 dean’s list. These students include Kaylee S. Desrosier (finance), Sabrina M. Brunelle (nursing), Milton R. Fernandez (electrical engineering) and Alyssa E. Schultz (pharmaceutical sciences) of Crookston. A student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 class credits to qualify for the spring list.

NDSU Scholarship

    Thomas Cymbaluk, son of Todd and Teresa Cymbaluk, Crookston, Minnesota, received the North Dakota State University Hunt Family Scholarship in the amount of $1,250. The scholarship requires that the student must be going into a major related to agriculture and recognizes high academic achievement.

    Cymbaluk will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in crop and weed science. In high school, he was active in student council, Lion’s Club, Peer Teaching for Religious Education, hockey, soccer and National Honor Society.

MSUM Dean's List

    The following students, including Brooke Bergeron, Brett Delage, Kelsey Durbin, Alyssa Goelzer, Andrew Gregg, Michael Hajostek, Zachary Lutz, Haley Roed, Elisa Samuelson, Heather Shol, and Sean Williams of Crookston have been named to the Minnesota State University Moorhead dean’s list in recognition of academic achievement spring semester 2017. Students must be in degree-seeking status and maintain a 3.25 or higher grade point average while completing a minimum of 12 graded credits to qualify for the honor.
