    A Polk County jail inmate died at a local hospital over the weekend despite life-saving measures taken by jail staff and medical personnel. Tri-County Community Corrections Executive Director Andy Larson told the Times Wednesday that emergency medical personnel were called to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston on February 9 in response to a medical emergency with the inmate. The inmate, who was not verified as male or female, was taken to a local hospital where they died two days later.
