    University of Minnesota Extension will host a One Vegetable, One Community (OVOC) Workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30  p.m. on Jan. 26 at Evergreen Eating Emporium in Thief River Falls.

    OVOC is a gardening campaign focusing on uniting communities around one featured vegetable.

     One Vegetable, One Community encourages gardeners of all levels to plant, grow, cook, and/or share a featured vegetable of the year.

    This workshop will feature community engagement discussions, examples of previous OVOC seasons, and tools to begin planning OVOC.

     One Vegetable, One Community is held through University of Minnesota Extension SNAP-Ed, Northwest Regional Sustainable Development Partnership, and Institute on Environment.

    Together, these organizations are partnering to encourage healthy food access and community building through One Vegetable, One Community.
