Crookston freshman Cody Weiland won the championship at 126 pounds and sophomore Blake Bergeron finished runner-up in the Northwest Invitational in Fertile Saturday as the Pirates finished sixth of eight teams.
A number of Pirates did not compete in the tournament, but of the eight that did participate, seven placed.
Thief River Falls won the team title handily with 244.5 points. Crookston finished with 85 points.
The Pirates will close out their regular season Thursday, Feb. 9 at home against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton. The first match is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
