UMC Club Hockey raises $1400 in 'Pink the Rink' campaign

The UMC Club Hockey team raised over $1,400 for cancer research this past weekend in its “Pink the Rink” campaign. There was a silent auction for the players’ pink jerseys, a raffle for a Nintendo Wii video game system and chuck a puck contest. The money will be split between the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society for prostate cancer.

Team members include: Talon Egeland, Seth Heppner, Billy Thompson, Matt Steinmetz, Morgan Terpstra, Alex Prudhomme, James Rodgers, Nick Huffman, Drew Johnson, Karen Celmer, Kyle Perry, Dave Anderson, Alex Lakinske, Taylor Matz, Trent Nyhus, Benny Mosso, Jared Johnson, Tyler Hansen, Corry Weisner, Chase Haubursin and Coach Jeremy "Yogi" Yeager.
