Crookston won its third straight game Saturday with a 66-59 victory over section opponent Hawley in Hawley. Pirate senior Ross Forney had a team-high 20 points.

The Pirates trailed 29-23 at halftime but outscored the Nuggets 43-30 in the big second half.

Junior Brett Delage added 16 points for Crookston, while freshman Aaron Hollcraft had 12 and senior Jordan Brewster, junior Travis Vatthauer and junior Alec Boike each had five points.

Hawley was led by Devon Pekas, who posted 28 points, while Ben Ellefson had 15 points.

The Pirates, now 12-7 on the season and 7-3 against Section 8AA opponents, will host Bagley Friday, Feb. 10.
