Freshman guard Sydney Boike posted 25 points as Crookston defeated Badger/Greenbush-Middle River (B/G-MR) 70-39 Tuesday in Greenbush.

The Pirates outscored the Gators 35-18 in the first half and took the second half 35-21 for the big victory.

Backing up Boike's huge night was freshman center Brooke Heggie with nine points, while junior guards Katie Davidson and Kaylee Desrosier each added seven. Junior guard Taylor Demarais and senior forward Monica Wold each had six points.

Tori Mekash led B/G-MR with 12 points, while Kayla Balstad added ten.

Crookston, winners of six of its last seven games, is now 11-7 on the season. It will travel to Bagley on Friday and Hawley on Saturday for upcoming games.
