The question
What is going on with the old Kum & Go building? I see a lot of cars around there lately.

The Answer
Jim and Kim Dans recently purchased the property to house their consignment resale shop, Wish Upon a Star, which until this week was located at the corner of Broadway and Robert.

“This place has so much more space, both inside and out,” said Kim. “There’s plenty of parking so people can get up close to the door. I’m also finding that I’ll be able to take in more items for resale here.”

Although all the inventory has been moved into the new location, Kim said the store is not yet ready to open for business, as the final touches on renovations are being completed and everything needs to get organized. She anticipates opening the doors to the public very soon, however.

“Watch for the paper to be taken off the windows,” said Jim. “Then you’ll know we’re up and running.”

Once open, the hours will be the same for the time being: Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m.-8 p.m., but Kim said they may be adjusted according to business trends. Spring and summer consignment items – all sizes of gently used name brand clothing, toys, furniture, movies, games and much more – will be accepted when the doors open for business as well.
