A: My parents are Mark and Cindy Meyer. I have 2 sisters Carisa Wright (31) and Jennifer (19) and one brother Brett (27). I have a cat Simba and a dog Cassie.  I will be singing and playing guitar for my talent and Biermaier Chiropractic Clinic is my sponsor.

Q: What activities are you involved in at school and elsewhere? Have you received any awards or special recognition for your accomplishments?
A: I am a three sport athlete – I participate in soccer in the fall, hockey in the winter and softball in the spring. In hockey I am going to be captain for my second year and last year I was Minnesota Honorable Mention. I am also in the LEO Club at the high school and I have been in it since freshman year. I am also in student council, last year I was Junior class Vice President. I also am in River Watch and in Envirothon.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: In my spare time I love to stay active. I love going on long jogs and going rollerblading or bike riding. I also love going to the lake, hanging out with my friends, learning more on the guitar and reading.

Q: What are your plans after high school, and how do you see yourself in ten years?
A: After high school I plan on going to a 4 year college, I don't know where yet but I will hopefully find out soon. I hope to either play hockey or softball in college as well. After college I plan on applying to join the Peace Corps. hopefully get in and go to Africa.

Q: Tell us about your platform.
A: My platform is "It's always prettier in green."  I want to express the benefits that our community can get out of becoming a greener community. By doing simple things like recycling or even finding ways to save energy by switching to different light bulbs. Because there are so many different and simple ways to becoming "green."

Q: What do you hope to take away from the Miss Crookston experience?
A: What I would like to take away from this experience is confidence. I think that already I have taken that away from being in Miss Crookston, because looking at myself at the first practice then looking at me now I feel that I carry myself so much better. I also will take away friendship from Miss Crookston, all of us girls have gotten so close at these practices and it is just so much fun.

Extra: This summer I got a job at Voyageur's View and I absolutely love it! Voyageur's view is in Red Lake Falls and it is a campground where you can also tube down the river. So my job is to sell tubes and at the end of the day get the tubes back from the tubers.
