  • Emily Dewey of Regina, Saskatchewan, the daughter of Tobias and Gina (Wardner) Dewey, was a member of Saskatchewan's U15 Provincial basketball team that recently won the national tournament. Dewey was named the tournament's most valuable player.
"It is an insane feeling to be part of a team that was able to win," Dewey said.
Emily Dewey is the granddaughter of Jerry and Gayle Wardner of Crookston. Gina (Wardner) Dewey graduated from Crookston's Central High School in 1992 and went on to be a standout basketball player at University of Minnesota Crookston.
