Free showing of ‘The Milky Way’ documentary Aug. 12 at Community Family Service Center

In celebration of National Breastfeeding Month, the Polk County Breastfeeding Coalition is hosting a special one-time screening of “The Milky Way,” a breastfeeding documentary, on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in Crookston.

This screening will be held at the Community Family Service Center, 1407 Erskine Street, in Crookston (formerly Carman School).

“The Milky Way” documentary is a sensitive and informative look at the very personal matter of breastfeeding.

Jennifer Davidson and Chantal Molnar, both Lactation consultants, are fired up to change the cultural and political road blocks placed in front of families wishing to breastfeed.

This is a documentary exposé about breastfeeding in the United States. More than a breastfeeding promotion film, this is a film by, for, and about women.  It is a film that inspires women to say, “I can do that!”  “I want to do that!”

This event is free and all who support breastfeeding are invited to attend.

The Polk County Breastfeeding Coalition is supported by the Statewide Health Improvement Program or SHIP, and a grant from the Crookston United Way.
