  • A former contract nurse who worked at the Cass County Jail is facing two felonies for allegedly having sexual contact with a male inmate and bringing him contraband.
Claire Schwehr is charged with two Class C felonies, sexual abuse of wards and delivery of an electronic device to an inmate. Schwehr is also charged with delivering tobacco to an inmate, a Class B misdemeanor.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office says Schwehr was allegedly maintaining an "unlawful sexual relationship" with Jason Stewart while he was an inmate at the jail.
Schwehr allegedly brought in a cell phone, cell phone charger, beef jerky and tobacco for the inmate.
The nurse has since been fired by Fargo Cass Public Health.
She is not in custody and will be summoned at a later date.
